1. DUD TUBE FEES (Core charge)
- A dud fee is charged for rebuilt tubes. Contact us at info@southernrfmv for particulars.

2. DUD CREDIT
- Southern RF and Microwave Components will give you credit for old power tubes you may have! Contact us at
info@southernrfmv for details. Tube must be received by Southern RF and Microwave Components
undamaged and rebuildable prior to dud credit being given.
3. WARRANTY
- New AND rebuilt power tubes are warranted for a period of three-thousand (3,000) filament operating hours,
or one year from date of shipment from Southern RF and Microwave Components, whichever occurs first or
represents the largest use, on a prorated basis, under normal operating conditions.
In the event of failure, a replacement tube will be provided to you on receipt of purchase order and the failed
tube being returned to Southern RF and Microwave Components for evaluation. See below for shipping
requirements necessary to maintain warranty. Warranty refund due, if any, will be credited to you.
- a. Please note: Important Power Tube Warranty Information is shipped inside carton with every power tube
sold. Please refer to this information for further details.
4. SHIPPING
- All power tubes are purchased FOB Ponce Inlet, FL. You are responsible for shipping and handling charges.
a. Southern RF and Microwave Components does not accept COD or collect shipping charges on
power tubes, even if tube is under warranty.
b. Southern RF and Microwave Components ships all power tubes vertically double packed. If you have
any questions on proper packing of tubes for shipment, please contact us. All power tubes are tested
and in good working order prior to shipment. Extra care is taken by our staff to properly pack your
file a claim with shipper immediately. Southern RF and Microwave Components is not responsible for
damages incurred during shipment under terms of its' customer warranty. You are strongly advised to
not let driver leave until cartons have been thoroughly inspected. If you sign a Bill of Lading without
noting carton damage, shipper is freed from liability.
- c. A power tube warranty sheet, power tube service report and power tube start-up instruction sheet is
included in each power tube carton prior to shipment from Southern RF and Microwave
Components' facility. Please pay careful attention to each.
d. Tube serial number is written or stamped on carton.
e. Tube serial number is recorded on the power tube service report prior to being inserted into carton for
shipment from Southern RF and Microwave Components' facility.
f. Tube serial number is also recorded in a file created for you and kept by Southern RF and Microwave
Components.
5. RETURN OF POWER TUBES / WARRANTY
- a. Dollar value of warranty credit is calculated based on 3,000 filament service hours, or one (1) year,
whichever comes first, or represents the largest use, on a prorated basis and under normal operating
conditions. At no time shall credit be extended beyond the one-year expiration date, regardless of
filament hours.
b. When a tube under warranty is returned to Southern RF and Microwave Components, an evaluation
of the tube is first necessary. Evaluation results are usually available within two to four weeks.
c. Please pay particular attention to shipping instructions. Due to the delicate nature of power tubes,
the necessity of proper packaging, and the variables of handling by shipping companies, compliance
with instructions is necessary to keep Southern RF and Microwave Components' warranty agreement
- d. Please note, your warranty credit is issued after the complete warranty evaluation cycle is completed
and issued against your new invoice for the warranty replacement power tube.
